TOWNSEND
Townsend is the perfect example why NOT to give a dog as a gift, she was a gift for a 9-year-old girl that did the normal "I promise to take care of her", well that lasted a very short time and Townsend was placed in an outside kennel and was basically ignored for a year. It is so sad how often this happens.
I was looking for a dog to go riding with myself and the horses. We had alsways wanted a German Wirehaired Pointer but, since we only rescue and don't buy dogs, we honestly thought this was never going to be an option, however, I found a birddog rescue in Helena and filled out the paperwork hoping we could find a atch that would be perfect for our furry family. Shockingly we received a phoe call within a few days that Townsend was being placed into the rescues care BUT, had to be picked up from the faily she was living with the NEXT day, the father wanted her gone NOW!! I was in the car th enext orning to go meet and greet this sweet girl. Happily it was a perfect match. Townsend was so happy to be able to play and run like a young active breed of dog should. All her behavior issues were instantly GONE, she just needed to run free and use the limitless energy. Townsend plays mainly with Benton, Clancy and Echo and all enjoy running around the yard without a care in the world.
